Meet the Moderator
Aileen Gemma Smith founded Vizalytics Technology, the creators of Mind My Business to serve the needs of brick and mortar businesses. Aileen empathizes with the frustrations of shopkeepers who want to be more data driven in their approaches but who struggle knowing where to look. Over 15% of Mind My Business users engage with the tool daily. She puts a strong emphasis on listening and building relationships. She prefers hard work and problem solving over fancy titles. She believes in the value of collaborative process. Aileen and team are honored to be part of 500 Startups Batch 10.

Alicia Syrett is the Founder and CEO of Pantegrion Capital, an angel investment vehicle focused on seed and early stage investments. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of NY Angels and as the Chairman of the Board of HeTexted. Her past and present Advisory Board roles include the following companies: Enerknol, The Pitch Deck, Beauty Booked, Cissé Trading Co. and Willa. She was named as one of the “25 Angel Investors in New York You Need to Know” by AlleyWatch and has also been featured in Inc. and USA Today. Alicia was an Instructor with Steve Blank in his Lean Launchpad course at Columbia Business School and is a frequent speaker for various startup organizations and entrepreneurial programs in NYC at Columbia, NYU, and CUNY.
Lorine Pendleton is an Angel investor and startup advisor for women and minority-led companies. Her portfolio companies include Cisse Trading, Traklight and Hire an Esquire. Lorine participated in the Pipeline Fellowship Program. Lorine is also currently the head of Dentons and leads US business development for the firm's litigation and regulatory practices including Litigation, IP & Technology, Energy, Insurance Regulatory, Healthcare, Infrastructure/PPP and Public Policy/Lobbying. Lorine was featured in Marie Claire's as one of the "50 Most Connected Women in America.
Heather Hartnett is the Founder and CEO of Human Ventures, an NYC-based startup studio that founds and builds companies around the framework of democratizing premium experiences while creating a positive impact on society. She comes from a diverse background in venture capital, leading technology startups, and social impact work. Human Ventures was recently featured as Business Insider as "the first female-led startup studio in New York City" bringing a fresh, new prospective to the tech scene.
